BALL VALVES ARE BEST:
  • Easy quarter-turn operation
  • Easy to turn forever (Have you ever tried to open an old valve in your basement?)
  • Regulates flow from a trickle to wide open
  • Larger flow rates than stop or globe valves
  • Higher pressure rating (Safety Factor)
  • May be used indoors or out
  • Can be used to replace gate valves, globe valves, stops, stop & wastes, or any inline valve you now have

JUST A FEW OF THE MANY USES FOR BALL VALVES:

  • Water Lines
  • Air Lines
  • Steam Lines
  • Oil Lines
  • Lawn Sprinklers
  • Irrigation Systems
  • Car Washes
  • Cabin Drains (Quick and Easy)
  • Tank Drains
  • Pools and Spas
  • Farm Chemicals
  • Natural Gas
  • L.P. Gas
  • Mixed or Manufactured Gases
  • Gas Grills
  • Appliance Connections
  • Furnaces
  • Space Heater

Forged Brass Ball Valves
B&K provides quality ball valves for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Ball valves are available in full port and conventional port sizes. Valves are designed for use on steam, water, oil or gas.

• 150 PSI WSP steam
• 600 PSI Non-shock WOG (1&Mac218;8" - 3")
• -40&Mac251; to 350&Mac251; F temperatures
• Forged brass construction
• Vinyl handle grip
• Dacromet corrosion protection on handle
• Vibration-proof lock nut
• Blowout proof stem
• Teflon® seals
• Hard chrome plated ball
• Hollow ball for lower seat wear and longer life
• Anti-freeze protection
• Threaded ends comply w/ ANSI B1.20.1
• Solder ends comply with ANSI B16.18
• A select group of B&K ball valves are available in handy cartons (HC)

Forged Brass Ball Valve Features

  • Features make B&K ball valves the right choice.
  • B&K’s forged brass bodies have a tensile strength that is over 30% higher than bronze and brass casting alloys
  • Patented Teflon® seat design reduces friction during opening and closing. This patented design requires 20-40% less torque to operate our valves than competitive ones
  • Dacromet plated handles will not rust. In salt spray testing, handles remain without corrosion after 1,000 hours. Competitors’ galvanized handles show corrosion after only 75 hours
  • Vibration-proof handle nut remains tight in difficult applications such as on air compressors and machinery

B&K’s hollow ball valve construction separates it from the competition.

  • Lower ball weight means less wear on the seats when operating the valve. Laboratory testing shows seats will have 10-20% longer life than valves with solid ball construction
  • The anti-freeze slot in B&K valves keep a valve that was not cycled after draining from breaking in freezing conditions. The slot where the stem fits into the ball allows some of the water around the ball to drain into the ball. This allows room for expansion of the remaining water when it freezes without breaking the valve
  • CV flow ratings are the same for solid or hollow ball valves

PVC & CPVC Ball Valve Features

B&K PVC and CPVC ball valves are designed for use in residential, commercial, and industrial fluid systems as well as wastewater, chemical and agricultural applications.
